Where the routes come from

The DVSA (the government body that runs UK driving tests) stopped publishing official test routes in 2010, specifically so candidates can't memorise one. Every route you'll find anywhere — including here — is a third-party reconstruction, not an official DVSA document. We source route descriptions from publicly available driving-instructor resources, convert them into a real driveable loop, and validate that loop against actual road data before publishing it.

That means routes here are indicative, not guaranteed — a good sense of the roads and turns you might encounter, not a promise of your exact test route, which is chosen by your examiner on the day.

Coverage

Test centres on this site are marked deep (a full set of routes) or thin (currently just one route). We're adding more centres and deepening thin ones over time — nothing is presented as more complete than it actually is.
